Can they stay out in the run at night in the cold?

I occasionally have the same issue. I just shove mine in the coop and call it a night. I have 6 however lol
This is what I have been doing but since they seem to want to be outside so bad I thought I'd ask. We have lots of predators but they should be very safe from any predation. I think having 2 large dogs in and out all day keeps some of the bigger predators at bay. I know the deer won't come in our yard.

hahaha.. yes it's easy to grab them but they don't want to stay inside.. so as I grab the next one, the first one comes back out. It's a game of tag. lol But yes.. it has a roof and one length now has sturdy plastic stapled on it to keep the wind off them.

That sounds sheltered enough that they should be fine sleeping there :thumbsup

As for putting the second chicken in and having the first one come back out: I've never had too much trouble with that. I put the first one in and close the door, then for the second one I open the door just barely enough and put her in (her body and my body block the door enough that the first usually does not think she can come through.) Then I close the door again while I grab the third one and squeeze her in. If there's a specific one that's most likely to come popping back out, I would do her last ;)
