what is the scientific name for the fact that chickens lay eggs continualy thoughout thier productive life.. its Oo something I think, ive googled and still cant find it. Chickens are classified as oo....??????

isnt there a word though that distinguishes between egg layers like, say, blue birds, which lay when breeding and chickens which lay continually? Or am I completly on the wrong track there?
 
I guess you are. . . ? The only word that comes to mind is Production layers (brown or white egg layers bred solely for lots of eggs)
