One of my hens hatched out chicks last Saturday, one of them looks like it has a broken neck. ??
I did upload a picture but don't know where I sent it (it is in the uploads somewhere). It eats,
drinks, peeps, looks healthy, but Mom started picking at it today so we moved it. It can pull its
head up almost, usually it is turned to the right, sometimes it looks like it is backwards.

i have zero experience but from past posts I have read wry neck can be treated. For my life I cannot remember everything I have read about it but for some odd reason I think vitamines were recommended. Poly vi sol drops without iron I think. Do a search. I know I came across a ton of them when doing research prepping for my first chicks.

Yes, it was Poly-vi-sol drops without Iron. I give 1 or 2 drops a day for a week or two. I think it is two weeks. Look up wry neck treatment. It's been discussed alot.

Thank you all for the information. I went back and looked at what others had to say about their chics and am hopeful this little one will make it.
I will get the vitamins suggested. One more question, should it be kept seperate from the others? Sure sounds like she misses Momma.

if it were me (and Im new too) but I would leave her seprate for now but make sure shes in a brooder where she can see mom.

After one or two treatments it will straighten right up and be fine with mom.

Oh, I'm so glad to see the answers you got about your poor baby!! I was afraid I was going to read about an unhappy ending. I'll keep a good thought and fingers crossed
