Can this cause a problem? I have been hatching eggs now for almost 6 years now and my hatch ratio is only 56%, is it because after they hatched and grew up they mated with their parents or somthing like that, and is that why I get a poor hatch?

there is more to it than that.. mating your own chickens to each other should not affect fertility.. vitality might be an issue..
a lot depends upon how you take care of your chickens.. how you feed them in preparation for collecting eggs to hatch.. how you store your collected eggs..a lot of things can come into play in regards to poor hatching..

to maintain good vitality, I like to bring in a new rooster about every 2 years. I have a lot of contacts, so I actually relace my roosters almost every year.. but If I miss a year or two, i don't fret about it.. I am not showing birds..
