Can this chick be saved?

This poor chick has shell and stuff all hardened and stuck to it. It's like rock hard on one side.. is there a way to save it? Can I use warm water to wash it off?

Yes it can be saved, run your shower until the bathroom get nice and steamy and then bring it in and gently rub off the stuck on membrane, use a warm wet washcloth to wet the spots with egg shell and gently peel them off. You may need to keep wetting the wash cloth. Don't rush the process, it will take some time. Make sure the chick stays warm through the whole process. It would be better if someone held it while you work on removing the dried up membrane and egg shell.
