I am nearing the end of my hatch, and have a Black Copper Maran that is really trying to get out. It looks like the membrane is separating from the shell of the egg. It has a couple of bigger holes made, but is it shrink-wrapping? Do you think it can make it? Thanks.
Without a photo, it is very hard to tell what situation it is. If chick had a pip more than 24 hours, you can help. However, be cautious, do not hurry to peel the membrane off. Do a little bit at a time.
I know! I had one yesterday that was pipped ALL day. It didn't hatch until 6:00 last night, so be patient!! (yeah, easy for ME to say, right?)
