Hi y'all,

I've been lurking since getting my first chickens a few months ago, but now I'm stumped and looking for advice about dogs and chickens and, so, here I am!

Our 4 chickens roam our small back yard in Utah. Our labrador has never bothered them (but has their food!). We are thinking of getting a second dog and the Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever has caught my eye. I see some folks on here have these wonderful little dogs...what are the odds I can train it to leave the chickens alone?

Advice, anyone?

Tips to keep the dog out of the feed also welcome.

from Ohio. Any dog can be trained to stay out of the chickens feed, but I just keep ours inside their pen that way the dogs can't get to it. Mine don't bother the feed so much. They are too busy looking for turds in the yard.
