This past May, 2 of my year old hens where left outside the coop, and attacked by a raccoon. One was killed, no sign of her but lots of feathers leading into the woods and some blood. The other was fine, no wounds just missing some feathers including all of her tail feathers. I have been at least one egg short every day sense then. At first I thought she was just putting her energy into growing new feathers, then once she has I had a problem with none of my hens laying in the coop, etc. but now it has been this long and she still is not laying. Is there anything I can do? Will she ever lay again? Also it could be another one of them, I’m not really sure who’s laying and who’s not, just guessing it’s her because it stopped after the attack.
