I had a friend give me LOTS of laying pellets and I want to feed them to my turkeys to cut down on cost. Will they get the nutrition they need from eating only chicken laying pellets? Thanks.

If they are old enough to lay, then yes.

They are 22 weeks old, so I guess I will start to feed them the laying pellets. Thanks for the info.

I thought they needed the extra calcium only when they were actually laying or about too. Its just starting winter now so what benefit is laying pellets now. Speaking of northern areas where we are experiencing very low temps day and night. I ask because I too have laying pellets but was told if birds are not laying the added calcuim could harm their kidneys or liver (can't remember which now)
