Can two Muscovy females with duckliings a week apart be in the same pen?

My pen for the Mom and ducklings is 4 feet by 12 feet and today another Mom with 5 ducklings now needs a mongoose proof place for herself and her ducklings. Had planned another place for her but thought I had 2 more days to hatching. If you have experience with this please tell me.

Sometimes it works, and sometimes it does not. That's a relatively limited area and it will depend upon the temperament of the hens involved. If you give it a try, monitor closely.

Thank you, I thought I'd put an update in. The Mom ducks were sisters from the same hatch, when I put them together there was some mild pecking order stuff at first then things settled down. The Mom with the later chicks moved into the dog crate with the earlier Mom instead of using the other one and now the 7 ducklings are mostly with her. Maybe at night they go back to there Mom, but all are alive!
