can u mix red rhode island hens with other chicken breeds

hi i have a flock of chickens including bantems an sussex hens i also have 1 cockeral im lookin to add 3 red rhode island hens to my flock the hens are 12weeks old at the mo but i have heard they can be very vicious an just may attack my other chickens that i already have an just wondered wheather this was true or not as the chickens i already have are quiet small an i do not want them gettin hurt many thanks will look forward to hearin from u all

i have RIR's with my sussex hens. no problem. like to see if anyone has had problems though
