Ok so i read this thing that says if a chicken has white, green or blue ears it will lay white eggs, but if they are red or brown they will lay brown eggs.
so far this is true for my chickens(but only 2 breeds have begun laying)
what do u all think about this?

I've read the same thing somewhere but I'm not sure because mine haven't started laying yet.

This is true about white ear lobes=white eggs, and red or brown ear lobes=brown eggs. I don know about green and blue egg layers tho.

White earlobed chickens lay white eggs, and other colored earlobes lay other colors of eggs.

There are exceptions though.

Just for giggles: My Leghorn lays a pink tinted egg and my Light Brahma laid a baby yellow egg. My Silkie/Cochin mix lays a tan egg.
Leghorns are supposed to lay white.
Brahmas are supposed to lay brown.
But I guess they never read the rulebook.
