Can unfertile turkey eggs hatch (hear me out)?

I had read on here (I believe) that unfertile turkey eggs could hatch- 1 out of every 6 or so if the chromosome split, but that any poults would Toms. After tons of searching, I cannot find where I read that! Am I crazy, or has anyone read that before as well? I have a BBW hen laying daily to every other day. We've been eating the eggs, but I'm considering giving this a try if it would be a possibility.

There has been research done on Beltsville Small White turkeys regarding parthenogenesis. Using selective breeding they were able to get the hatch rate up to 3.3% which is not even close to 1 in 6 (16.7%). In their initial tests only one egg out of 46 showing signs of development actually hatched.

It is extremely unlikely that your BBW hen would hatch any non fertilized eggs.
