I feed Nutro lite to my Dane with severe arthritis in her knees....It has helped her tremendiously....
1) It has Glucosamine/chondroiten in the food
2) It helps me keep her weight down.
She is on Norvox once a day for pain She is not pain free, but happy and still enjoys life. When that stops I will let her go.....

My 8 yr old lab also has a hard time getting up, especially when it is cold out. At night I ensure that he does not get too cold because he has a shed to himself with his playmate, Abby. I put a heatlamp on them. They are free to come in and out at will. I feel he has arthritis. He still carries a ball or a log or anything else in his mouth to fetch. He lives to fetch.
