Yeah! We got our first eggs!

I got 7 eggs from 6 chickens this morning... which makes me think that I didn't see eggs yesterday that were in the nest.

I live in Texas, and yesterday the temp. was around 95 (pretty hot).

Are eggs that sit out in the heat good to eat?

Thanks for any quick replies... we are holding off eating breakfast waiting for a response.

I think they will be fine. My eggs have set out during the day in the nest untile I get home.

I say happy cooking!! Enjoy!

Eat em up! A day wont hurt them.

NOTE: Back in the day, it was advised that you not waste the infertile eggs taken from the incubator. They were made into cakes, breads, skillet breads and/or fed to the other animals.

OK...that is just not an appetizing thought!!

I agree tho that your eggs will be fine after only 1 day.

I know, but consider: once cooked well, whats the difference to your gullet?
