can we get sick?

I have a question. We live in a woodland bush, and let our chickens run freely during the day. If they eat something poisonous, like a plant or mushroom, could it transfer to the eggs, and possible make us sick?

I don't think so. If it ate something that toxic it would kill the chicken first.

Given a free choice of what to eat, it seems unlikely that the chickens would eat anything not good for them. They have been chickens for a very long time without our intervention.
