Can we just take a moment for the mods?

I have to say this:

People do get upset with the mods for locking threads. I've noticed a few threads lately that were locked by the mods because they were about "hot topics" that could turn ugly. I think it's great that the mods lock (lock is a strong word...close) a thread before it gets out of hand. That's what they're here for, right? So lets not get upset with them for doing their jobs (that they don't get paid to do). Same for editing or deleting a post. It's for our own good. Most of us have said things that we shouldn't have said and thankfully the mods usually go in and edit or delete the post before we cause a stir.

I have at times gotten upset with the mods...but I still respect them.
