I always wonder if anyone has ever replaced a wild duck eggs with domestic duck eggs!! Its so interesting to know if the domestic breeds can survive in the wild and become wild.... or even if we replace other bird breeds like geese, finches, canaries, and specially quails... and if anybody has successfully hatched wild birds breeds and became pets?!!
Please if anybody has done that post all your stories with pictures if available!!!Pleaseeeee!!!

It is illegal to tamper with the nests of migratory wildlife. It is also cruel to think of putting domestic (most can't fly) eggs into a wild ducks nest.

I know that very well but I mean if somehow a mother from the wild is dead there is no nature police, its illigale but no one will know so many people might done that and i'm wondering if anybody has done it with duck that was nesting in his garden or so... By the way, its not really supervised so someone may have done it and i'm looking for that person to hear its story...!!!And actually everyone rescues orphened ducks and geese in the country so somebody for shure have done that!!

No offense but that is a really dumb idea. Domestic ducks have had a lot of a wild ducks abilities bred out, think flight. And like Celtic said, tampering with wild waterfowl nests is illegal.

It is fine to think about something but please don't try it. Many dumped domestic ducks are left to starve if not "humanely" removed by the state. This is to protect the local migratory waterfowl genetics. So, you switch an egg, just to see what will happen, that drake or hen breeds with pure wild birds and the genetics are poluted.

Search Muscovy and Florida and see. That species has been culled very aggresively by the state if not tortured by locals because it is considered a nuisance speices.

So, doing something that you know is illegal is okay as long as no one sees you do it. AWESOME ethics!

and By the way we don't have wild birds that nests in our country!!!

Only Small birds!! I live in lebanon and was wondering if anybody in The US with its large diversity has done it before and obviously lot of people have done that with muscovies there.. I actually have a with muscovy with a bit of black spots on the head, she's a female and haven't laid a single egg yet, she's more than 1!!and unlike other muscovies she doesn't like to fly at all she never did since she was a baby abd I don't know why she reacts like that, she's very shy and always alert and tries to hide between bushes with the hens some time I don't know where she is. She hides is bushy and hard to see places, she's tourturing me....
