I have no human kids, and the possibility seems pretty remote. My pets ARE my kids.

My dog is my baby though, all of the others are just kids.

I have never, ever refered to my chickens as "my babies".....

I just call them "the birds" when speaking about the different species as a whole group. Doesn't bother me when other people do though. Just never thought about it I guess....
I DO however refer to my horse as my "handsome baby boy" even though he is a 24 yr old, 17hh thoroughbred....

The other horse - a welsh pony - is affectionately known as Miss Piggy Piggy Fat Butt...

Well I call mine chickies or babies! I think nicknames or whatever you call them doesn't really matter, most ppl like to give their chickens names......should we not do that either?
