Can wet eggs hatch?

My eggs were sitting in a bowl, my husband got a little bit of water in it. Like 1/8 inch or so. But they were sitting in there for about 5 hours. Will they hatch ok?

When I was a teenager, living on the farm, I would collect duck eggs from the pond....as in they were laid whilst swimming... and they hatched fine. I don't think your situation would have any ill-effect on the viability of the egg.

I found one that was laid in my coop water and put in my incubator. Think it will hatch?

I also wish to know, my chicken decided to ray its eggs outside this rainy season. i found 7 of them today but wet and dirty, will they still hatch??
