We've had chickens for about 5 years and have never had a problem with parasites. We have a young chicken with what we believe to be round worms in her stool. We are treating her and the rest of the flock at the moment.
My question is can the worms be transmitted to my grand daughter? She is 16 months old and loves to visit the chickens. She's never been inside the run or coop; she stands just outside and pushes blades of grass or clover through the chicken wire for them to eat.
Do I need to be worried?
