And IMO, I love how broodies work. I think it's awesome to watch a broody hen become so determined and fearsome toward strangers who may harm her young. I wish I could have left the chickies with Mom when my hen brooded her first. I would have loved to see her take care of them. Humans might be amazing, but there are some things we just can't do.
