Can you candle brown eggs?

I was just wondering because what I've read says white eggs.Also,what days should I candle them?

yes u can cadle brown eggs and when to candle is up to u as if u wanna watch the devolpment but what i do wanna say is dont candle every day as it will drop your hatch rate the more u candle the lower your hatch will be

Yes but as Bock said I wouldn't do it often at all. I only candle mine once when hatching

Yes you can candle brown eggs, but you might need to get a powerful light if they are really dark.

One of the best days to candle are days 7 through 11, but you may candle anytime from day 3 to day 17. After day 17 it's best to leave the eggs be, as the chicks get into their hatching position.

Try this link to learn to candle eggs. The darker the eggs the stronger the light needs to be and the darker the room. I had a 100% hatch after learning the candling method on my last hatch (had to discard 3 eggs but better than wondering if they are going to hatch)!!!! WooHoo!!!!

I use an old slide projector. The bulb is a 300 watt. I candled Welsummer eggs quite successfully. With the darker eggs, you should wait till about 10 days to candle so there is more development to see.
