Can you clip 3-4 week old Bobwhite Quail wings?

I wasn't sure if they are to young and their wing feathers may still be coming in but they have flown out already as I try to service the brooder box I have them in.

I try to only open the door far enough but they still fly out.

You should wait until they start to fly so their muscles develop properly. Sounds like it is time, but don't quote me, I'm not an expert on the subject.
