I've been on a few snowshoe hikes so far in January. Basically every time there's been sun mid-day. Which usually means cold, cold, cold! I've frostbitten my face a few times too many over the years, and need to be careful being out too long in below 0F. Still, can't resist the beautiful January sun.

But man! I'm in such bad shape!! :barnie I had injury after injury last half of last year, meaning not much exercise. I NEED to start upping my game.

I love these pictures!
Injury after injury? That sounds rough.
Try adding Collagen powder to your daily coffee/morning drink. Makes a HUGE difference on injury recover and prevention.

That's interesting! I eat gelatine quite often, will definitely keep doing that. I think I heal fairly rapidly from stuff like muscle tears, but my health has always been bad (I'm disabled), and it's not getting any better as I age... There's always something hurting. But injuries that prevent me from being active is extremely frustrating. I can't sit still! :barnie

I started doing strength training a few years back, and that actually did a lot of good! Unfortunately, it's really only in winter I can prioritize it, the rest of the year is just too busy on a farm.

I have a connective tissue disorder, so i have dealt with injuries pretty badly since childhood, especially joints. I started doing PT/strength and flexibility training for my worst joints a few years ago and it made an awesome striking difference, especially when I added the collagen. I believe gelatine works slightly differently in the body because it's I a different form, but it should be pretty close. Bone broth/whole bird broth also does wonders!
I try to remind myself that any amount is better than none, just 10 mins of strength training can make the difference.
