I just bought this frizzle satin silkie a few days ago. Her toenails are ginormous!! Can I clip them? If so, how much??

Yes you can and should clip those. I'd clip less than a quarter of an inch off with heavy-duty toenail clippers or with dog-nail clippers. Their nails get dulled down as the dig and root around as they scavenge, so she obviously hasn't been doing that lately.

Ok, will do that now! She will definitely be able to scratch around at my place.😊

So I clipped 1 foot, I was actually able to cut quite a bit without hitting the quick. She had already snagged one toenail on something and ripped it pretty short. It was bleeding but she's not limping so I'm sure she'll be ok. I gave her a break and will cut the other foot tonight.
Great! You can also file down the edge if it is too sharp.
