Can you eat a bantam?

AH, but actually OEGB were bred originally for 1. cockfighting and 2. meat. Of course that's not very much meat. Or Cornish game hen anyone??? They are technically bantams, and yummmy....you know White Laced Red Cornish.

As far as a Silkie or a Japanese bantam, I don't think I could eat them unless I was really, really, really hungry....
 
Haha, yeah, so we wont get attached! But why do the meat birds have to be so gentle and quiet!!! Why won't the egg layers be that way? Like thoes pesky leghorns! You'd think they're on speed or something.
 
Chicken is chicken. Weather big or small. I havest my extra bantam roos, and bantam hens that stop laying. I make chicken soup, and chicken dumplings, and chicken casseroles with mine since they are small. Just make dishes that you can add other ingredients to help stretch out the fact that the chicken is small.
