Is it ok to eat pheasant eggs? My mother wouldn't eat them and she said they were poisionus.

There from ringneck pheasants

Don't want to get between you and your mother, but yes, you can eat the eggs. They're a good size for pickling also.

so long as they aren't on medicated feed... only eggs i'v encountered that i wouldn't eat are dove/pigeon eggs, those are nasty...

Yep sure can. Pheasant, quail,Partridge, turkey, peafowl, and chicken all taste about the same. I have eaten all these, dont like the waterfowl eggs.

Like in the other post, becareful eaten eggs from medicated birds , even ones that have been wormed. Check withdraw time of all meds.
