can you eat the first egg?

New to raising chickens. I inherited 3 abandoned hens who were already laying. I bought the polish crested baby a month ago, she laid her first egg today! Since I do not eat the eggs (allergic) I give them away. Are the first eggs good? The egg is tiny and white.

Yep, first eggs are just fine to eat.

Awesome! I heard a rumor years ago that first eggs were bad. Funny how misinformation sticks in my head lol.
