Can you feed the meat birds anything to make them taste better?

ive raised some very tasty birds...some yrs tastied better then others...first few day; i feed normal ..slowly adding in cracked corn..mine all have large grassy pens to forge in...at 4 wks they get 1/2 grower feed & 1/2 cracked corn......best very best birds was the year hail destroyed apple crop..everyday i stewed down apples to soften & fed to broilers..they also got tablescraps....2 yrs ago didnt have many apples, & birds didnt have that extra good flavor...decided i was going to start giving mine apple juice - cider to drink....also would be great to try giving another pen lemon aide to drink !!! the corn gives birds fat a nice yellow coloring..or so is what my mom always told me. a friend just feeds own ground corn & soybean..nothing else. they sell 100;s of butched birds every year.
