Can you feed turkeys medicated feed?

I accidentally ended up getting medicated chick feed- will it hurt the turkey if he eats it? I know ducks can't eat it but what about turkeys?

I wasnt able to find UNmedicated feed for turkeys! So mine have been eating game bird starter from southern states which is medicated and 26-28% protein. Seems to work!

yes they can eat the medicated feed. It is to help preventing cocci that poults die very easly from when they are young. Itwill not hurt them at all.

It's what you should be feeding them - higher protein and medicated.

Is it o.k. that its chick starter not turkey starter?

Chick starter is lower in protein than the game bird starter. Chick is 20% the game bird is 28%. It will work but the poults need more protien. Do you have southern states feed store near you? If you do ask for the sporting bird starter, it's also 28%
