Can you fry dual purpose chickens?

That's only as hot as I got my oven ... Baking bread, not vaporizing it!

Then I let the rest of the mass absorb the heat till it was evened out to about 600°, then slid in the dough ... I had heat probs at different places ...

🙂 True vaporised bread wouldn't be very edible, but it sounds like U_Stormcrow is trying to vaporise goat skulls while bricks and cement are becoming collateral damage.
 
With dual purpose birds do not expect them to taste or cook like the birds one gets form the supermarkets.
I much prefer the taste and texture of dual purpose birds and they are my baseline of what chickens should taste like.
LaFleche makes an important point about stressing birds befoe culling.
Some experimenting is required to find the right amount of standing time for rigor mortice to leave the carcass.
