can you have an all-female flock?

you could I suppose but who would want too? I read some where some one had an all male flock and they said the males didn't fight. The male flock would be much less annoying as the racket. The females are much louder it seems to me. you might be thinking you want the females because they lay eggs but they don't lay enough to keep them for their eggs.

Hi Summermom and welcome! A lot of people have all hens. It isn't always legal to own a rooster, depending on your zoning.

ETA - Didn't notice you were talking about guinea fowl, thought you were talking about chickens!
