Hi everyone, we came across this site at a moment of needing other people experiences with one of the issues with raising ducks, love all the support and help that was provided so we decided to become part of a great and helpful community. Well it started with 4 baby ducks for the Mrs. birthday but after some racoon mishaps, Muscovy's needing a home, realizing how fun ducks are we have expanded to about 50. some from online and some from incubation. We post homesteading stuff on youtube of all the shenanigans that happen not all duck but there is a lot we will be posting. Not at all trying to push anything but if we have anything that may be of value to help a member out we hope it's ok to refer to it. The Mrs. takes care of the emergencies and has come up with some pretty innovative solutions to some of the problems we have experienced. We look forward to learning and sharing the great duck experience.

Welcome to BYC!!

Glad to meet you, and welcome to BYC, where we love ducks as much as chickens (and many other birds, too!). Ducklings are so adorable, I can see that you can't just have a few! I look forward to your wisdom and experiences, as well as stories and pictures of your ducks!

With that terrible raccoon experience behind you, you might check your protections against what is advised here. (It's written about chicken coops/runs, but that hardware cloth is good for protecting other birds as well!)
