I'm have no clue to breeds but don't think RIR have white ears. He is "handsome" ... Wow, light blue eggs, can we see? You could post pictures of the hens, the experienced should be able to give you a clue ....

Here is a photo of a light blue I got today from the chicken. I have yet to figure out which one is producing these eggs. I get a blue one every 2 days or so. It seems to be light blue almost white looking but not.
