I have 6 6 week old buttons. We have been trying to sex them and find what kind of breeds they are but are not sure about it answers.
We have been trying to vent sex them but have had no success even with our full growns. If you can could you tell us their breed and gender? All of the guesses below are what we think could be possibilities based on research and behavior. Thank you all for helping!

The first one is what we think is a red breasted female.

The second is what we think could be a red breasted female to.

The third I'd what we think could be a smoky boy.

The fourth could possibly be a smoky boy too.

The fifth could be a silver female.

The sixth we have no idea on the breed which makes it hard to know the gender so we have no idea on gender or breed.

These are the button quail in order.

The first one looks like a red breasted female, Yay!

The second one looks similar but I’m not entirely sure, you’ve got amazing pics but I still can’t see a clear pattern. In the pic where he/she is upside down it looks like a pearl mutation. Probably golden pearl. My friend has one that looks similar. If so it’s most likely to be female.

I’d say three is a a female and I’m not entirely sure what ‘smoky’ is. It looks like a silver but is smoky because there’s not really a pattern? I’m not sure.

Four is 100% male and looks like a silver with not a real sort of pattern. Again if that is what smoky is than that’s what he is.

Five is and silver female (which it seems like you already knew)

Six is interesting because it sort of looks like a blue face? But I’m not entirely sure because of its wing. It dosen’t really look like a white wing bar because it’s more faded. Maybe it’s just the angle I’m not sure. That’s all I could think of. If it is blue face I’m not sure if they’re feather sexable. They’re very rare.

Hopefully you'll be able to see the patterning better!
