Can you help sex my button quail?

I tried not too long ago, vent sexing one of my other ones that I think is a male, but it didn't work so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

There are videos online of vent sexing if that helps otherwise they should start crowing, laying, trying to mate and other behavioural traits which show the genders.
