Hello and :welcome
I’d recommend purchasing hatching eggs from a reputable breeder or farm. Hens (battery hens, they’re usually referred to as) that lay the eggs you buy in a store aren’t kept with cockerels/roosters so the eggs will not be fertile. :)
Thanks for the help Ill get some from a local farm.

I've read here on BYC that Trader Joe's (at least some of them) sells fertilized eggs and those have been successfully hatched.

But I agree, your best bet would be to purchase fertile eggs from a reputable breeder. You can also check on BYC's buy-sell-trade forum for fertile eggs.

Best of luck to you!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
Where I live there are FB poultry groups where members advertise fertile eggs for sale. Maybe you have similar groups in your area you can join and ask for fertile eggs. Good luck.
