Can you make a chicken stop producing eggs?

Just wondering as I have a crook chook at the moment with egg issues. She has bad lungs and won’t be able to have a hysterectomy - is there any any other way to stop them from producing eggs permanently?

There are hormone injections to inhibit ovulation.
As a temprorary fix, you can cut way back on the day length and soon production will cease.
