Can you make a living on chicks, and eggs?

To be a "pure" breed, both of the parents have to be the same breed. The OP is saying their chicks wouldn't be pure because they don't have a roo of the same breed as any of thier hens.

It would be a good little extra source of income. I tend to like having money come in from different directions myself. I don't like to be bogged down by one single job. I bake decorated cakes, interpret at our local doctor's office (spanish), work a couple weeks at a day care, sell my eggs... My husband does have his steady income, though. I may have to look in to doing this next year. It might be an interesting little business.
