Those are some pretty Bobwhite quail (boys have the white faces) and this article will give you some pointers as to how to keep them (you'll need to scroll down a bit to get past how to raise them):

Bobwhite need to be kept in pairs (one pair per enclosure) during the breeding season as they become highly aggressive. Because of this they shouldn't be housed with other species of quail.

Based on the article you referenced, breeding season is in the spring, the rest of the time are they ok to hang out and mill around together? When do you know you should pair them up? Learning lots, learning that the intermediary I bought them from didn't know what they were, now thanks to this forum I do!

To reduce mortality rates, pairing up Bob's is best for the breeding season. I have raised them in a very large enclosure with no difficulties, some fussing every now and then but no bedlam fighting.
I have also and still do, even right now have Bob's, Blues, and Gambel's all together in a 100' x 150' enclosure, no problems...haven't counted how many in the pen lately but probably 40 birds....their just starting to breed here in South Texas.
I'll also add, what "works" for me, may or may not work for you! Every situation is unique.

I have had coturnix, Bobwhite, and Tennessee reds in the same pen together. No problems. But i did keep roosters to a minimum. But every situation is different.

x2 on pairing up the bobs. I raise coturnix and was given 4 bobs (1 male and 3 females). I kept them in a 6sqft cage for several weeks with no problem. One morning I checked on them and 2 of the females were almost dead. Their eyes were pecked out and their heads were scalped. All happened in one night....

I'm planning on raising some bobs in the future but they will be kept in a 25ftx10ft enclosure and will be paired up during the breeding season.

Yes I have butler bobs and Gambel in one cage and snowflake bobs and button quail in another everything is fine coturnix with bobs not so much tho I’ve found out hope this helps
