Hi - we’re learning about our chickens and are wondering if someone can help us ID the organisms in these images? Fecal float with 40x magnification. We are new to this and learning and aren’t sure what we’re seeing. Thanks!

I dont have my Parasitology book handy right now but I'll refer you to a Parasitologist . I'll take a shot at the first one (blue photo). They might be tapeworm eggs as one of the eggs appears to have hooks near the cell wall. Not sure though.

None of those look like parasites or parasite eggs to me, they're all artifact. The first one looks the most like a parasite egg, but it's not smooth enough around the edges.
So I think what you have there is just poop and associated flotsam.

I was looking for cocci and I think I found more than cocci. All are a 10x eyepiece and most have a 10x objective lens. A few are the same photo with a 40x objective. Some have a cocci in the pic as a reference. The tan circular image (3.JPG) is about 10 times bigger than cocci. Any help in identification would be great! @Sue Gremlin

Oooh! Fun fun. The tan circular image you are seeing In 3.jpg is artifact. The Mickey Mouse-looking things are tree/pine pollen. I also see roundworm eggs (the big oval ones, photos 4, 5, 6, etc) and some coccidia (very small, round or egg-shaped objects, photo 2 and 8).
