That's the Pineapple quilt block. See? They call this one Tropical Pineapple on this page, due to the color choices:

That quilt is sooo beautiful! No wonder it won. Have any of you tried the flying geese one-seam method (page 20) in the new "Quilt Life" --Ricky Tims and Alex Anderson magazine? It is so easy. I have a 2005 magazine that shows the same thing but the instruction was not as clear as this one. I used the paper-piecing method and it was tedious compared to this. I can hardly wait to make a small quilt. I love the colors in the Pineapple quilt.
