Can you peer pressure ducks?

Quacking bowling pins on legs! :lau
Mine are fawn and white, if they come running straight at me they look like wearing a brown sweater and white shorts. - Greenish eggs they lay.
Nice! I want to get two more females in the spring. I’m hoping to get a fawn and white, and a blue.

Once they start you'll be thinking down the road, girls don't you need to take a break? Mine when they started laid a straight 18months before they took a break.

Love to see yours all grown up @Enigmius :pop

We just had a massive rain the night before yesterday so the ground is a bit muddy. Luckily it’ll be close to dry today. The coop/run is on a sloping hill so in two days it’s back to dryish.

Anyway, here they are. It looks like my video got tagged into your message. Oh well...

In the sun Count Blackula(the black drake) has the most vibrant green and blues. It’s a shame it’s too shaded to see atm.
Lilly is the one with the white patches on her breast. The other two are Moricia and Elvira. Elvira is slightly taller.

Mine looks like yours but mine lay only white eggs! What's up with that, not that it really matters but that seems weird to me. How's your leg?
It hurts a lot! I cannot sit for more than an hour before it swells so much that the »too small boot« feeling is back.

I'm planning on new ducks in spring, five golden layers, five buffs and five magpies. Not sure if I'll buy them all at once or if i enjoy each group separately. Little Duckies are addictive…

They are beautiful!!! :hugs

Thanks Wannabehillbilly and MissLydia. Come spring I’m planning on surrounding the coop with a picket fence to allow for some controlled free-ranging. My neighbor has a rought iron fence with big gaps and two large bull dogs whom would love a tasty snack. So, hence why I want a controlled freerange situation.

And sorry to read about your foot WannabeHillbilly. Ouch!

They still haven’t laid eggs. Should I put out a supply of free-choice oyster shell? Or do I need to wait until an egg is officially laid?
