I'm told she is a Marans, 2 years old, but I don't think so. (According to what I've seen on-line, she's not a match.) She was given to me yesterday, by one of my Husbands co-workers. She became very broody, and he could not break her of it. I don't know what color her eggs are.
(He also sent a SLW, so she'd have a familiar friend. They are in an in-closure, within sight of my 3 Orps, and will be combined in about a mo.)
She is black with green sheen, and the very tiniest bit of purple. Dark brown eyes, with a red tint. Black beak, and red ears. Yellow/black legs, with sparse black feathers. Feet are mostly yellow, with a little black, and black toenails. Feet have sparse black feathers, only over her outermost toe. She is bigger then the SLW. She's about the same size as my Orps, with a little longer tail and a less rounded back-end. Comb looks like Orps but, a little smaller. She is pretty docile.
