Can you raise bantams & standard together, from chicks?

The feed store has bantam silkies!!!!!!

I really want a few, but am unsure if the standard chicks will pick on the bantams???

Anyone with thoughts on this??

I have one silkie with 3 bantam cochins and 5 standard sized chickens, the silkie was picked on at first, but now tends to be fine. They recently they have decided that they like to pick on her top hat.

I have both in the same pen. I raised the standards from chicks and one bantam(silkie) from a chick. Everyone is happy. I even have a bantam silkie rooster in the pen with the ladies. My limited experience is that if they are raised together they should be fine.

Thanks, anyone with more experience than me is helpful!

The 'chicken guy' at the feed store said they were fine if you put them together after they are grown, but you should keep them in seperate brooders when the are young.
I thought they should be okay if you got them all at the same time/age.

Any one with more experience?
