Can you raise ducks and chicks together?

[TLWR]

Don't get just one chicken.

I had 5 chickens, and then down to 1 chicken. I still have the 1 chicken and have finally been able to get a couple new chicks so she has friends of her own again.
She does hang with the ducks, but the ducks aren't always most welcoming of her. I'm sure she'll be happy to have friends of her own again.

I'd get at least 2 if you get them as adults, or 3 if as chicks in case you lose one before they get older.

So if I get 3 chickens and 4 ducks. Isn't that a lot for a 5x7 coop with a top roost and a 20x20 run?

Thats plenty of space, as long as you don't have male ducks.

Ok well until they are full grown I won't know if I have any male ducks

I'm going to be getting some ducklings soon and already have had one chick hatch, can I raise them together? I know the ducklings can't have medicated food so I'm not sure if I can feed one food to both the ducks and chick ?

From what I understand you can feed them unmedicated chick food and add the Brewers yeast to the food

Ok thanks! I'm just hoping that's ok for the chicks to eat as well. Given my chick has been eating some adult food with its mom I'm sure it will be. Lol
