"Can you see the stars?"

I'll have to check and see

Once I saw the Aurora Borealis in Three Rivers MI!

It was just a bit of green... back when it put on that HUGE light show

Really cool though... Stargazing is so neat.... I'd love to get a real telescope someday.

No light pollution here. The nearest house is 1/4 mile from me, the nearest town 6 miles, the nearest town of any size is 60+ miles.

Fifteen years ago when we moved here we could see all kinds of stars. But I think they plan to pave all of my county, and we can hardly see the stars anymore. We can still see the bright ones, but one of the joys of camping is seeing the stars and milky way. One of the cub scout leaders is an amatuer astronomer, and he gave the best star walks...its amazing what you can see with just binoculars.

I haven't hit a night yet that was clear.

Really can't complain though, since we need the rain. And I planted my early crop right before it started

AK, I would love to visit and see the stars! Mom is traveling in Alaska this summer, so I'll make sure she takes time to go out and see the stars!
She & my aunt are driving from GA to AK, driving around AK, and then driving back to GA. Those 2 are a hoot!
