Can you sex chicks by feeling how far apart their pelvic bones are?

I was shown how to sex lovebirds by feeling the distance between their pelvic bones with your fingers. The ones that are comparatively farther apart are the females.
Does anyone know if works with little chicks?

Thats a great question! I also sex parrots by the pelvic bones and also wondered about if chicks could be sexed like this. Thanks for asking hope... someone answers soon
