Can you tame a fighting rooster?

Sadly, I must say I do not think your two roosters are fighting chickens. They are two chunky to be American Games and very much of the wrong type to be of the other group (Oriental). They likely have a far amount of the Oriental Game genetics in them but it takes very little dilution from out breeding with non-games to result in a chicken that is not of the fighting type. That does not mean they will not be jerks. At least one, based on spur development, appears to be what is called a bullstag as he is in his first adult feather set and all feathers are in. Outside the bullstag terminology the same bird is likely to be a young cock becuase he looks to be more than a year but not by much. The points you see are natural and will become pointer as the birds mature. The modification the previous owner would have put on them would be the cutting of the end to leave a blunt base that is of a particular length and diameter.

The volume of your containment is not evident but that will factor into current and future social problems. With my American Dominiques which are not particularly aggressive, I still whittle them down to one rooster per group of hens that can number one to about 7. The excess roosters are then kept in a bachelor group or confined individually if feather damage is a concern.

Thank you for the advice. I only have enough hens right now to give them each 6. I let them run around the Goat yards and they have calmed down quite a bit. It is just the bigger one that occasionally tries to cripple me. I have friend that just lost her rooster and she wants the big one. she has 20 or so hens so I think he will be happy. Thank you again....
